YO'
Fish
A new experience in fishing like you’ve never seen
before on TV.
Imagine being out on the lake with a mild breeze across the water,
and the clean smell of fresh air. You know life is feeling good and then,
it happens. A bite on the line and you holler out Yo Fish, and the battle
begins. You wind, you pull, you tug, finally you see it below the surface,
and then it leaps in the air with a big splash. You wind it in on the boat
where you unhook it. Then sit back, smile and get a refreshment and then,
start again..
Now there is a new way to see fishing, through the eyes of an
African American in the modern southwest, with a new look in fishing
shows.
The idea came from watching fishing shows on Saturdays and Sunday
mornings. Each time I went fishing, I didn’t have a bass boat or new rod and
reels that matched or even knowledge of a forecast to see if the fish were
biting. From watching these shows I felt that you did not experience
fishing as I know it.
So here’s my idea of a fishing show. First a host that has no
professional experience, then a fishing technician, and a celebrity guest
telling his or hers fishing experience as they grew up and who is there to
have fun. Now, a location that can be reached by most people, with a boat
or bank suitable for fishing.
Rideau Audio & Video Productions has started shooting segments
for the show "YO Fish" at the local lakes. We hope to have a
pilot by October to start shopping it to local and national TV markets.
